the ballet dictionary

The Ballet Dictionary workshop is a chance for your tiny dancer to become familiar with the terminology used in ballet classes. Not only is this an exercise in vocabulary, it’s also a chance to put these basic positions / movements into practice, and to create our own special ballet book. The children will do the bulk of the art/pasting, etc. during class time. Then I will finish the projects adding some little surprises. I’ll return the dictionaries to the children a week later for them to have as a keepsake.

music madness

Music Madness will unleash your child's creative energies as Mr.C encourages fun, first and foremost, and then more fun after that! Mr.C promises silly sing-alongs, call and repeat songs, exposure to instruments, rhythm and beat exercises and more.

interactive story-time session

In these workshops, your child will enjoy a book reading and corresponding craft or activity with Miss Katie, Mr. C and/or guest author/teacher. All proceeds from these sessions (after the deduction of the venue cost and possible transport for guest teachers when applicable) will be donated to the Children's Cancer Foundation.

'care and connect' program

In the coming months, KT Creative will be launching their 'Care and Connect' program. Our intention is to open five kindness ambassador positions biannually to be filled by students 6 to 9 years old. These ambassadors will meet with Miss Katie and Mr. C on occasion to discuss ways we can give back to our community and to the world around us. There will also be a focus on taking care of oneself in order to establish a solid foundation off which we can then have the capacity to give to others. We hope to partner our ambassadors with a child from the Children's Cancer Foundation so that they can communicate with their partners as penpals and do some group activities via video conferencing.

Aradhana's dance journey started learning classical Indian dance form of Bharatnatyam at the age of 4 in Pune, India. Her first public performance i.e. Arangateram was at the age of 10 making her the youngest performer in the fraternity. Through the years she continued honing her Bharatnatyam skills, exploring different dance styles such as Indian folk as well as Bollywood and choreographing fusion dance pieces.

During her time in the UK, she taught these Indian dance forms as a passion project to a wide range of learners from the younger to the elderly.

Aradhana has led and participated in many dance projects for social good in Singapore through charity shows, dance competitions, flashmobs etc. She particularly enjoys introducing these dance forms to young children so they can connect with their inner selves and build confidence at an early age.

"The hip hop workshops that Ms Katie has been running with teacher KS have been such a hit! My daughter loved the four week program. She got a real taste for a new style of dance and the workshop format allowed her to broaden her natural creative flair and push her comfort level a little. The fun and energy that Katie and KS brought to each session was infectious. Not only did the kids love the classes but the mums loved watching from the sidelines (and learning the moves after class with the kids at home too!"

"My daughter, Ava, is a regular in KT Creative classes and has been loving the new workshops. Her favourites so far have been contemporary and hip hop. I love that they are two very different dance forms and offer Ava such fun ways to express herself. KT Creative classes have helped a lot with Ava's confidence. She can be very shy but when she dances she seems to come out of her shell in the most amazing way. I'm so proud watching her dance. We love the KT Creative team so much."
